Master Thesis Project

Design and implementation of a performance monitoring solution for storage devices that serve virtual machines. A query language is used for flexible specification of performance statistics on I/O transfers. The prototype implementation supports basic distributed processing. Experiments show the performance overhead of the prototype implementation to be acceptable in many realistic settings.

Bachelor Thesis Project

To reduce P2P traffic we implement the p2pDating algorithm to group peers according to their content. To reduce the number of peers queries are sent to, a set of measures is used to decide which peers are the best recipients for a query. We show that we can greatly reduce the amount of traffic needed for a high recall query.
